8. Cannero Riviera – The village and Cannero Castles
A charming lakeside village near the Swiss border. Just offshore rise the mysterious Castelli di Cannero, ancient fortresses emerging from the water like floating islands.
9. Ascona – Elegance and Mediterranean charm
One of the most refined towns on the Swiss side of Lake Maggiore, featuring a lakeside promenade, boutiques, and scenic cafés.
