Lake Maggiore offers numerous possibilities for bicycle lovers.
Arona is a perfect destination for cycling thanks to its long cycle path that connects the whole town.
A few kilometers from Arona is the natural park of the Mercurago lakes, an ideal place for cycling in the woods on a dirt path.

More complex itineraries reach as far as Novara, in the Vicolungo area, known for its outlet. The E1 cycle route winds its way along a series of villages and panoramic views. For breaks there are campsites, such as La Quercia, as well as taverns and farmhouses. In addition to Novara and Arona, you can also visit Galliate, Varallo Pombia, Pombia, Borgo Ticino, Maggiora.
In Galliate you can visit the Castello Visconteo-Sforzesco: inside, a library and several rooms, including one dedicated to the pilot Achille Varzi. The Church of Saints Peter and Paul. The Sette Fontane locality, perfect for resting before getting back on track.
From Borgo Ticino, continuing along Via Valle, you reach the Bosco Solivo nature reserve.
